3 Up 3 Down: Featuring Tottenham and Chelsea stars

Thanks to the FA Cup quarter-finals, the Premier League’s fixture list had a slightly depleted look about it this weekend. However, despite the lack of league action, there was plenty of excitement and talking points across both competitions.

Crystal Palace got the weekend going on Friday night with a late win over Reading, putting their torrid league form behind them to book a trip to Wembley. They will be joined there by Everton, Watford and one of Manchester United and West Ham, who drew in their cup quarter-final.

As for the Premier League, Spurs kept up the pressure at the top of the table with a cruise to victory against a doomed Aston Villa side, Leicester kept their dream alive with a win over Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle, Bournemouth edged closer to survival with a third win in a row, Manchester City dropped off further, and Southampton kept their European push alive.
