£26m Tottenham man doesn’t want to leave the club despite interest, he loves playing for Postecoglou
As well as success with incoming deals this month, it seems Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur have been handed another boost.
Spurs have worked with brilliant efficiency this month, signing Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin in prompt fashion.
Those arrivals were also in tandem with two key departures, both Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier’s wages have now been cleared off the books.
And whilst there still seems to be one or two that could move on, Bryan Gil and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s names are often mentioned, Spurs will be content with their current group.
It seems that Postecoglou will choose not to send one 18-year-old on loan this month – a player he has a big plan for.
And similarly, it seems that Spurs are firm in their stance over Emerson Royal’s future.
The defender has been subject of a bid from Saudi Arabia which has been rejected according to reports.
And in wake of that refusal, there has now been an update on Emerson Royal’s stance.
According to , the defender is very happy to stay at Tottenham this month, he’s content with life under Postecoglou.

According to this report, Spurs have initially rejected a bid of £21m for the Brazilian, a fee only just shy of what they paid.
Perhaps some fans may be surprised that the club weren’t willing to listen to the offer given Royal’s spot in the squad.
Although he’s a useful back at both right-back and centre-back, it could have been an opportunity for the club to upgrade.
Perhaps a deal would just prove to be too much disruption for the club right now.
Postecoglou and Tottenham have been very methodical with their business this month, and the bid may have come as a surprise.
Perhaps Spurs would be better placed to respond to interest with more time and planning in the summer.
That being said, it seems as if Tottenham may be lining up a summer bid for a promising player in the Championship.
