However, the Reds are – as any elite football club should be – still alert to market opportunities, with Greek wonderkid Stefano Tzimas now on the radar for Richard Hughes, Director of Football at Anfield.

TBR Football have now received further information from sources close to the situation.

Stefanos Tzimas open to Premier League move after Liverpool enquire

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has now been told that the FC Nurnberg No.9 is open to the prospect of moving to England after Liverpool made an approach.

We understand the Reds have scouted the 19-year-old closely across recent weeks, and have now moved to enquire about his situation.

Sources have also informed TBR Football that West Ham are admirers of Tzimas – while Newcastle, Tottenham, Manchester United, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Brighton have been monitoring his progress too.

The Thessaloniki-born striker is currently on loan at FC Nurnberg from PAOK, although the German side have the option to make his move permanent for £15m in the summer.

TBR Football understand FC Nurnberg have already informed PAOK they will trigger this option, and the plan is to immediately cash in on Tzimas – who was mentored by Miroslav Klose – for a sum of £25m.

So far this season, the teenager has scored eight goals and provided two assists across 14 appearances in the 2.Bundesliga.

Stefanos Tzimas is a record breaker

If Hughes can strike an agreement with FC Nurnberg ahead of a £25m summer move, Liverpool – who rejected a bid for Ben Doak from Crystal Palace – would be getting themselves a record breaker in Tzimas.

The Greece U21 international became the youngest goalscorer in PAOK’s history back in March 2023, scoring in a 6-0 win over Ionikos at the age of just 17 years, one month and 27 days.

Tzimas is also a Super League winner – securing the title with PAOK in the 2023/24 campaign.
