£25m defender is now close to signing for Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou was very open about wanting to sign a centre-back for Tottenham in January in the media this week.
The Australian made it clear that Spurs need in that area, and, just like that, Spurs may have found their man.
Indeed, according to , Tottenham are close to agreeing a deal to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa.
The deal is said to be worth €30m (£25m), and this is an exciting move to say the least.
At the age of just 21, Dragusin is an exciting young talent with tons of room to grow.

The player himself has his game on Virgil van Dijk, and that’s very exciting to say the least.
Of course, as with any transfer rumour, you have these stories from abroad with a bit of a pinch of salt, but the player’s agent has been very open about talking to Fanatik in the past, and this is a very Spurs move.
Indeed, Tottenham have absolutely loved dipping into the Serie A market as of late, so signing a new defender from Genoa makes the world of sense.
Dragusin has previously been on the books at Juventus, so he’s a player Fabio Paratici will know very well, and while Paratici isn’t currently working for Spurs, he is doing plenty of consultancy work for the club, so we wouldn’t be shocked if this was one of his suggestions.
For the first time in a long time, it looks as though Tottenham are getting their January business done early, and, by the sounds of it, Dragusin could be the first through the door in north London this winter.
Whether or not more signings are to follow remains to be seen, but with Spurs lacking midfield depth at the moment, we wouldn’t be shocked if that position was next on the agenda.
Dragusin is an exciting player, and it will be interesting to see how he gets on in the Premier League if this transfer does indeed go through.
