Celtic fans have feared for some time that Odsonne Edouard may depart the club this summer, and his latest eye-catching international display will only intensify those concerns.

In a hugely disappointing campaign for the Scottish side, Edouard has been head and shoulders above the majority of his team-mates.

Although his form was slightly underwhelming in the first few months of the season, he has since struck a rich vein of form and is currently on 20 goals from 34 appearances.

The 23-year-old has been during his time in Scotland. Arsenal were first mentioned in connection with the Frenchman by , and rivals Tottenham were credited with an interest by .

Edouard’s latest performance for France’s under-21 side will likely serve to increase the speculation regarding his future.

In Sunday night’s 2-0 win against Russia, Edouard won his side a penalty before stepping up and converting it himself.

That took his record for Les Espoirs to a superb 16 goals in just 12 games.

Having scored 83 times in 162 appearances for Celtic since leaving PSG in 2017, there’s little doubt that Edouard will be an attractive proposition for a number of clubs this summer.
