22-year-old loan player spotted back at Arsenal yesterday, he’s currently unable to play football
One Arsenal loan player who is enduring an incredibly frustrating season was spotted back at London Colney yesterday.
Mikel Arteta currently has several players out on loan, and the club’s decisions have largely paid dividends.

Although he’s recently missed some games owing to injury, Albert Sambi Lokonga has enjoyed a real reputation boost at Luton Town.
Similarly, Kieran Tierney has also really impressed when fit during his loan at Real Sociedad.
Two players who seem unlikely to have much of a first team future at Arsenal, but are boosting their potential sell-on value for the club.
And there’s also the players who are right on the periphery of getting a first team chance or leaving, the likes of Marquinhos (currently at Fluminense) and Arthur Okonkwo (Wrexham).
Both are enjoying a good amount of first team chances at their respective clubs, but sadly the same can’t be said for similarly-aged Omar Rekik.
The 22-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Hertha Berlin back in 2021, hasn’t quite done enough to prove his first team quality, and hasn’t had a chance to improve things during his loan in Switzerland.
Omar Rekik spotted back at Arsenal yesterday amid loan frustration at Servette
Owing to a registration issue, Rekik’s loan club Servette FC haven’t been able to register the defender for domestic games this season.
Servette failed to submit their updated squad list for the season following his move to the club, leaving Rekik in limbo.

And given that frustration, it appears that Rekik has now been allowed to return to Arsenal to train there instead.
Rekik posted a picture of London Colney on his Instagram yesterday, which was shared by journalist on X.
And the journalist simply provided an update saying: “Omar Rekik is back at the Arsenal training ground.
He’s still unable to play for Servette because of a registration issue.”
A real shame for Rekik’s progress, who has already played 10 games in League One this season for Wigan Athletic.
And given the defender has also begun a fledgling international career with Tunisia earning three caps, he’ll be desperate to start playing again soon.
That all being said, one exciting Arsenal youngster was recently spotted in first-team training ahead of Bayern Munich.
