22-year-old left ‘angry’ despite shining at Anfield as Liverpool beat Milan

Liverpool came from behind to beat Milan – again – on Wednesday night, and Brahim Diaz has explained why he left Anfield “angry”.

Diaz, 22, is currently enjoying his second season-long loan spell at Milan from Real Madrid. The Spain international scored seven times last term.

This season, he already has two in four games for Milan – one of which came at Anfield on Wednesday night. Diaz put Milan 2-1 ahead.

But the Reds roared to victory, with the memory of Istanbul still fresh in the minds of Liverpool fans. Mo Salah equalised, after a Divock Origi assist.

It is a competitive group, with Liverpool facing Porto and Atletico Madrid. A win was crucial at Anfield, but Klopp should have fielded a stonger side.

From this point on, Liverpool might have to field their best side in the Champions League group stages in order to progress.
