£21m player would love to sign for Arsenal if they make an offer this summer

Arsenal seem to be in the market for multiple goalkeepers this summer.

With Aaron Ramsdale tipped to leave the Emirates in the coming months, Arsenal need a new second-choice goalkeeper.

Tommy Setford is set to arrive from Ajax, but he’s more of a youth option, while Dan Bentley from Wolves has been linked.

Joan Garcia is another player who has been linked to Arsenal as of late, and according to Steve Kay, speaking on KS1TV, the Espanyol goalkeeper would be more than keen to join the Gunners, claiming that the Spaniard would jump at the chance to come to north London.

The journalist shared what he knows about the goalkeeper.

“Yeah, Arsenal are interested in and they have had talks with the Spanish goalkeeper, Joan Garcia. There have been conversations going on there, but it’s just conversations. From what I know Garcia would jump at the chance, then you’d have two Spanish goalkeepers there, Raya and Garcia,” Kay said.

Aaron Ramsdale needs to leave first

Garcia is clearly very keen on a move to Arsenal, but it’s hard to imagine that anything will happen on this front unless Aaron Ramsdale leaves first.

Indeed, Arsenal need to find a destination for Ramsdale before they go after a player like Garcia, and that may not be easy.

Ramsdale will cost a lot and his wage is also sizeable, and the reality is that there isn’t that much of a market for goalkeepers at that level right now.

Indeed, there’s a reason David De Gea hasn’t been able to find a club over the past 12 months. The reality is that most of the teams who could afford someone like Ramsdale don’t need a player of this quality.

Garcia is very keen to make this move, but whether or not he gets the chance to realise his dream remains to be seen.
