£20m Arsenal player is actually partly responsible for holding up deal to sign Riccardo Calafiori
According to a recent report, an Arsenal player is part of the reason why the club has struggled to get the Riccardo Calafiori deal over the line.
Arsenal have been locked in negotiations with Bologna for weeks despite having already agreed personal terms with Calafiori.
ꦐThe two clubs are still yet to find an agreement on the transfer fee, with the Serie A side eager to drive up the asking price due to a hefty sell-on clause that they owe his former club Basel.
🌠Now, it has just emerged, that a current Arsenal player is actually partly responsible for the delayed deal.

Jakub Kiwior holding up deal
Arsenal’s pursuit of Riccardo Calafiori is currently at a standstill and according to The Times, it’s partly due to Jakub Kiwior.
༺The Gunners want to use the Poland international as a makeweight but he’s reluctant to be involved in such a deal.
❀Kiwior only joined Arsenal in January 2023 for £20m and evidently wants to remain in North London, despite interest from Italian clubs.
⛄Arteta plans to use Calafiori in his role, as a left-back, so the former Spezia man is believed to be surplus to requirements.
Bologna to renegotiate sell-on clause
🌸Bologna have placed the deal on hold as they want to renegotiate the sell-on clause with Basel.
🗹They are also demanding an additional £8.4m from Arsenal, so it remains to be seen if their hefty demands will be met.
ꦫIf a deal cannot be agreed, Arsenal should focus their attempts on Sporting’s defender Goncalo Inacio.
🌱The Portugal international is also left-footed and would fit the profile Arteta is looking for.
In other news, an ✨insider has claimed Arsenal have prepared a big presentation to convince a ‘world class’ player to join.
