19-goal sensation would rather join Tottenham than Manchester United

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have both been linked with Serhou Guirassy in recent weeks.

For instance, journalist Dean Jones told the  podcast in October that Spurs are monitoring the Stuttgart striker.

Meanwhile, claimed that Man United sent their scouts to see Guirassy in person against Bayern Munich last weekend.

However, a new report has emerged claiming the 27-year-old favours a move to Tottenham, leaving the Red Devils looking elsewhere.

has reiterated that both Spurs and Man United are eyeing Guirassy, but the player himself ‘would prefer a move to Spurs’.

With that in mind, Erik ten Hag has apparently sent scouts to watch Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri as an alternative.

Man United have struggled on the scoring front, with Rasmus Hojlund yet to score in the Premier League since his £72million summer move.

Meanwhile, Tottenham sold Harry Kane in the close season and didn’t sign a like-for-like replacement, even though they’ve been coping well without him.

Son Heung-min has been leaving the line superbly and has 10 Premier League goals – plus four assists – to his name this term.

Meanwhile, Richarlison has returned to form following his surgery and Dejan Kulusevski has also been shining. Both have five goals apiece.

Guirassy would certainly tick a lot of boxes for Spurs and Man United alike, particularly in the January transfer window, when it’s hard to sign a top-level striker.

The 27-year-old is talented, prolific, hard-working, proven at a high level, a good age in terms of experience and years ahead of him, and with a £15million release clause, not expensive.

Guirassy has been in sensational form this season. He has a staggering 19 goals in all competitions, of which 17 have come in the Bundesliga.

Any other season, he’d be the runaway leader in the scoring charts. However, he’s up against Harry Kane, who has 21 league goals already.
