£18m player could leave Aston Villa on loan this month with AC Milan interested
It seems like there could be a lot of moving pieces for Unai Emery and Aston Villa in the January transfer window.
The club are enjoying an incredibly strong season and seem keen to take the opportunity to add to Emery’s squad.

It was reported yesterday that Villa would like to sign a £13m player Emery adores in order to strengthen their top four push.
And it now also seems that players could head in the other direction in what could prove a busy January window.
According to the , Unai Emery was very keen to add an experienced striker to his squad in the summer.
Ollie Watkins is having a fine season, a player that keeps on progressing.
However, should Watkins miss a period of games, there must be doubts over the readiness of Jhon Duran despite his promising potential.
And with that being said, Emery is now said to be willing to loan out the Villa forward in January, a year after he joined for .
Duran has shown promising signs thus far, but a loan move would make sense if Villa were able to add a striker this month.
And according to this report, AC Milan are very interested in taking Duran on loan in January.
Unai Emery could allow Villa forward Jhon Duran to leave on loan in January
Of course, it would be incredibly surprising if Duran did leave without a replacement this month.
Perhaps some Villa fans would still like to see him stay even if another striker did come in.

Bertrand Traore might be considered the most natural third choice in the squad, but Emery seems reluctant to use the forward.
Moreover, with Traore now away with Burkina Faso at AFCON, it would make sense to keep Duran around.
In all honesty, it already seemed a risky approach to have just Watkins and Duran as Villa’s only recognised strikers, especially considering their lofty ambitions.
Therefore, this news that Emery would be willing to loan Duran in January may not sit too well with some Villa fans.
Either way, those same supporters will trust the process given their side are sat second place in the Premier League.
