18-year-old Spurs youngster broke incredible record at Tottenham Stadium on Sunday
If there wasn’t already enough reason to be optimistic about the future at Tottenham Hotspur, one youngster broke a Spurs record on Sunday.
Although February was a mixed month for Ange Postecoglou, he will have been frustrated with a performance or two, there’s reason to believe things will improve.

Following a two week period without a game, the Tottenham squad should be a lot fitter and ready for an important tie with Crystal Palace on the weekend.
Son Heung-min has finally had a chance to take a rest, and James Maddison and Micky van de Ven have probably also benefited from a break after their recent injuries.
That being said, journalist Alasdair Gold did recently think that Postecoglou had a pressing issue to solve over the break.
However, when speaking on the ‘‘ podcast yesterday, the journalist was discussing something more positive.
Although the senior team aren’t playing right now, Spurs’ Premier League 2 side were in action on Saturday against Fleetwood under-21s at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
And having scored three goals in the 6-1 win, striker Will Lankshear set a new Spurs record.
Tottenham youngster Will Lankshear broke Spurs record after hat-trick on Saturday
Alasdair Gold was discussing Lankshear’s form and potential on his podcast this week.
And having scored in the 28’, 33’ and 39’ minute on Saturday, Lankshear broke a Tottenham Hotspur Stadium record.

Gold said: “He’s a very talented young player, he’s got a long way to go, but he’s got a little bit of the [Harry] Kane physique about him.
“He’s got a lovely touch, a lovely finish, I said in my match report the other day, his partnership with [Jamie] Donley reminded me a little bit of Kane and Son – like an academy version of it.
Gold then added: “Before it goes out of my head, I’ve just got to say, the Will Lankshear hat-trick was the fastest ever recorded at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.”
Not a bad weekend’s work for Lankshear, breaking the fastest hat-trick record at Spurs’ new stadium and being compared to Harry Kane.
The Tottenham youngster clearly has a lot of talent, and will surely hope to break another record or two in his career.
All that being said, it seems as if Tottenham could be targeting the signing of a new senior striker this summer.
