£12m player wanted by Champions League club now waiting for West Ham move

A rumoured West Ham target is reportedly waiting for the Irons to make a move for him before deciding on whether or not to join a UEFA Champions League side.

The Hammers have been hard at work this summer under new manager Julen Lopetegui in making new signings and preparing the new squad for the upcoming season, with Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug all being signed.

With West Ham making a move to sign Yann Bisseck, the London Stadium side are far from over in the transfer market, with the Irons clearly set on returning to Europe next season with a new-look squad from top to bottom.

And one target is reportedly waiting for West Ham to move for him.

Logan Costa awaiting West Ham move amid Bologna interest

According to , Toulouse defender Logan Costa is waiting to West Ham to show their intentions this summer on whether or not the Hammers want to sign the French youngster, with Bologna in talks for the centre-back.

Valued at £12m, West Ham have also been in talks with Costa, with Lopetegui clearly keen on adding another defender to his ranks having already signed Kilman and been linked with other defenders this summer.

After a fantastic individual year in Ligue 1, it’s no real surprise that Costa is keen to move to a bigger club with West Ham and Bologna both fighting for the defender’s signature this summer.

However, with West Ham still seemingly still weighing up whether or not they want to bring the 22-year-old to east London, the Irons risk losing out on Costa with Bologna keen to bring the defender to Italy in the coming weeks.

West Ham need to make a definitive decision on Costa

West Ham are in the market for another central defender having spent big to sign Kilman this summer, yet with the Hammers not entirely sure on whether to move for Costa or not, a decision needs to be made soon.

With less than a month of the window left to go, West Ham can’t afford to waste time on deals they’re not entirely convinced about, something the Irons are somewhat showing in regards to Costa.

And as a result, West Ham might be better off dropping their interest in Costa to focus their attention onto other targets, with the Hammers in need of another centre-back this summer.
