£12m player says he really regrets the way he left Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur have had some high-profile departures over the years that were less than amicable it must be said.

The likes of Gareth Bale and Kyle Walker didn’t leave on the best of terms as they forced moves through to more competitive clubs, and, by the sounds of it, Daniel Levy isn’t the easi✨est person to de🌟al with if you’re a departing player.

Speaking on , Kieran Trippier has been discussing his experience of leaving Tottenham, and he says that the way he left Spurs is the biggest regret of his c꧑areer.

Kieran Trippier regrets the way he left Tottenham

The man s൲poke about leaving Spurs and the regrets he caꦉrries about that situation.

“What’s your biggest regret?” Trippier was asked.

“In fooball? The way I left Tottenham. It left sour (You or the club?) A biꦜt of both really. I just think the way I left, I had talks with Daniel, it was difficult, of course it w⛄as, ‘Am I a part of the plans?’ I went to the manager, I went to Daniel, I was getting thrown around like a yo-yo, I just needed a bit of honesty.” Trippier said.

Trippier made the right call

While Trippier m𒊎ay have left under a dark cloud, his decision t🌊o leave Spurs was undoubtedly the right call.

Cast you🧔r mind back to that 2018/19 season and you’ll r✱emember that Trippier’s form was absolutely terrible.

He was consistently the weak link in that Spurs side, and he seemed to be losing his confidence🍨.

A move to Atletico Madrid seemed to re-install that﷽ vigour in Trippier’s game, while Spurs have been a bit of a basket-case ever since, changing manager most seasons after Trippier’s departure.

It’s a shame that a few bridges appeared to be burned on his way out, but Trippier’s🀅 decision to leave Tottenham was undoubtedly the right one.
