£120,000-a-week Newcastle United player has just told Eddie Howe he wants to leave
- EXCLUSIVE with Graeme Bailey
Newcastle United endured a tough summer transfer window under Paul Mitchell – and Eddie Howe now has another problem to deal with.
The Magpies failed to land t♚heir No.1 target in 💖Marc Guehi – wasting weeks sending four unsuccessful bids to Crystal Palace – while Newcastle ♊United also🌌 failed to sell Miguel Almiron, a player they were keen to offload.
Now – however – Eddie Howe has a situation to deal with at Newcastle United after one player asked to leave again…
Kieran Trippier again tells Eddie Howe he wants to leave Newcastle United
TBR Football understand that Kieran Trippier has now reitera𒆙ted his desire to leave Newcastle.
The England international is far from happy on Tyneside after Howe decided to make B🎃runo Guimaraes the new team skipper, replacing the Newcastle No.2 as vice-captain behind Jamaal Lascelles.
Sources inform TBR Football thꦇat Howe does not want to lose Trippier, but the 33-year-old has no desire to warm the bench for Newcastle, having also lost his place to Tino Livramento as well as the captaincy.
Of course, the transfer window in theꦅ United Kingdom ended at 11pm last Friday, although the Turkish window remains open, with Galatasaray and Fenerbahce already holding talks with the man from Bury.

TBR Football are aware that Eyupspor, Besiktas and Basaksehir a𝔉re keen to sign Trippier as well.
Newcastle do not want to sanction a free transfer exit for the man, but will agree to a loan exit as long as the deal includes a purchase option in the summer of 2025, seeing as he will only have 12 months left on his contrac𒅌t at the end of the season.
Not a surprise
Surely, Howe cannot be su꧃rprised 𓆏by this development.
Trippi💯er is understandably feeling a bit unwanted at Newcastle after losing both his place in the starting XI and 𓄧also the captaincy, so it would be pretty cruel of the Magpies to block him from leaving.

Of course,🃏 if Howe did agree to an exit and Livramento suffered an injury, it would leave Newcastle short of options at right-back.
Nevertheless, after four goals and 21 assists in 94 appearances for Newcastle, we feel 🗹Trippier’s wishes should be respected – despite dropping off in the past 12 months, he has been a hugely important player since the Saudi Arabian takeover.
