‘100 per cent’… Darren Bent says he’d take 48-year-old as new Arsenal manager if Mikel Arteta leaves the Gunners
TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent has claimed that he would take Manchester United-linked Graham Potter as Arsenal’s manager if Mikel Arteta left the club.
The Spaniard is one of the best managers in the Premier League. He has completely revolutionised Arsenal over the last few years, and Gunners fans don’t even want to think of seeing him leave anytime soon.

Darren Bent says he’d take Graham Potter as Arsenal’s manager
Arsenal fans absolutely love Mikel Arteta, and that’s not going to change anytime soon.
The 41-year-old took charge of the Gunners when they were in a terrible position. The Emirates was such a toxic place towards the end of Unai Emery‘s tenure, and appointing Arteta as the new boss was a massive risk as he had no previous experience as a manager.
However, despite multiple ups and downs, the Spaniard has transformed the Gunners into title contenders, and they are among the best teams in Europe now.
Arteta is not going anywhere, but in case he decides to move on tomorrow, Darren Bent has claimed that he will take Graham Potter in his place. The 48-year-old has been linked with Erik ten Hag’s job at Old Trafford this week.
TalkSPORT host Andy Goldstein has been very vocal about Potter not being good enough for Manchester United. Bent, however, is of a different opinion.
When Goldstein asked Bent if he would take Potter at Arsenal, Bent replied on : “100 per cent!
“I would because I like the football that he plays.”

Potter would be a risky appointment for Manchester United
Graham Potter is a very good football manager, there is absolutely no debate there.
The job he did at Brighton and Hove Albion was nothing short of brilliant, but in his first role at a massive club – Chelsea – he failed to live up to expectations.
Yes, the Blues were in a mess and any manager would’ve struggled there, but Manchester United aren’t in a great position now either, and the pressure at Old Trafford is arguably much higher than it is at Chelsea.
Potter may surprise everyone and do a great job at Manchester United if he gets the job, but from the evidence we have in front of us, it has to be said that it would be a risky appointment.
