‘100% convinced’: Fabrizio Romano has just shared exciting Tottenham transfer update

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham will “100 percent” sign Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski permanently.

The transfer guru, speaking on his , also said Antonio Conte is “super happy” with the two players.

Romano expects Spurs to pay up to 85m euros (around £72m) for them, and stresses they’d be happy to do so.

Romero joined Tottenham on an initial loan deal from Atalanta at the start of the season.

Meanwhile, Kulusevski arrived at N17 from Juventus, also initially on loan.

Both Romero and Kulusevski have become crucial players for Spurs.

The Argentine defender has clocked up 28 appearances for Tottenham.

Romero has done well to strengthen a Spurs defence that had been particularly weak for some time.

Meanwhile, Kulusevski has helped transform Tottenham’s front line into one of the most feared in the league.

The Sweden winger has already registered three goals and six assists from 15 Spurs appearances.

Kulusevski has slotted in seamlessly in Tottenham’s front three alongside Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

“There is absolutely no doubt”

Romano provided more information on Spurs’ stance on Romero and Kulusevski on Wednesday.

“Cristian Romero will be a Tottenham player for the future, there is absolutely no doubt,” he said.

“As Antonio Conte even mentioned a few weeks ago, Tottenham have the obligation to buy clause for Romero.

“They are super happy about it because Tottenham will pay around 50-55m euros to Atalanta.

“But they are 100 percent convinced they signed a fantastic centre-back for the present and the future.

“Then there is Dejan Kulusevski. His numbers have been incredible.

“Massimiliano Allegri was not 100 percent convinced, but it’s normal sometimes in football, you can make your decisions.

“And so Juventus made money with Kulusevski, 10m euros loan fee already paid by Tottenham for two years’ loan.

“And then Tottenham have a buy option that could become an obligation in case Kulusevski reaches some conditions in the next season.

“There is no doubt around Tottenham. They will pay for Dejan Kulusevski, they will continue with Dejan Kulusevski.

“Let’s see if 30m or 35m euros for Kulusevski, 55m for Cristian Romero, they trust these two players.

“Let’s see what happens with Antonio Conte but he’s super happy with them.”
