1 assist, 3 key passes: Leeds loanee Ryan Edmondson impressive in 2-0 win
Ryan Edmondson will be hoping that his performance in Northampton Town’s 2-0 win on Tuesday night acts as something of a turning point for the Leeds United loanee.
Edmondson has endured a tough time since leaving Elland Road in the summer. He initially struggled with injury at Aberdeen. And he left in January having only scored twice for the Scottish Premiership side.

Unfortunately for the 19-year-old, his switch to Northampton is yet to really spark into life. He is still awaiting his first goal for the Cobblers.
However, he does deserve credit for his latest performance which helped Jon Brady’s side beat Plymouth 2-0 this week.
His first touch was particularly impressive during the first-half. And he got the assist for the opening goal just before the interval with a superb lay-off for Ryan Watson.

, Edmondson managed three key passes in total. No player on other side could match that tally.
Meanwhile, he also won four aerial duels and one tackle. His clever running may have also caught the eye of those back at Elland Road.
In truth, Edmondson looks to have a tough challenge ahead. He had not been in Marcelo Bielsa’s plans in the Championship. And obviously, Leeds are now playing at a higher level.
His goalscoring record this season is underwhelming. And Leeds look to have a number of exciting attacking options coming through in the under-23s right now.
But perhaps his performance on Tuesday was a sign that he should not be written off just yet.
